1. Introduction

Age Verification PopUp ("the App", "we", "us", "our") is a Shopify application developed and operated independently. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and what responsibilities are allocated between the App and the merchants who install it ("Merchant").

By installing and using the App, the Merchant agrees to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2. Scope and Limitation of Responsibility

The App is a technical tool. Its sole function is to display an age verification popup to end visitors of a Merchant's Shopify store. The App does not determine, draft, validate, or guarantee the legal compliance of the content displayed in the popup.

The Merchant is solely and exclusively responsible for:

• The content of the popup, including all texts, legal notices, terms and conditions, and verification messages configured within the App.
• The accuracy and legal compliance of the minimum age rules defined per country, region, or product.
• Ensuring that the popup configuration meets applicable laws and regulations in every jurisdiction where the Merchant operates.
• The Merchant's own Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and any legal disclaimer displayed to end visitors.

The App provides the technical infrastructure. Any legal obligations arising from the sale of age-restricted products (including alcohol, CBD, vape, weapons, or adult content) remain entirely with the Merchant.

3. Data Collected from End Visitors

When an end visitor interacts with the age verification popup on a Merchant's store, the App collects the following anonymized data solely for analytics purposes:

• Detected country (derived from IP geolocation, the raw IP address is never stored)
• Device type (mobile, tablet, or desktop)
• Timestamp of the interaction (date and time)
• Verification outcome (accepted or refused)

No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected from end visitors. The App does not store names, email addresses, dates of birth entered by visitors, raw IP addresses, or any other personal data.
